METHODOLOGY
JPproductservices follows a Methodology developed by its founder John Pitts, below it is explained in his own words:
"Throughout my career and life, I have learned from roles at multiple layers of organizations, different organizations, and different cultures, refining these lessons into a working methodology that covers my management approach and my product development system and guidelines
Review - Refresh - Renew

The 3 R’s are the management approach I take to bring new life into a division or product area in a structured manner, using logical thinking and market analysis to determine market need, unexplored niches, and user preference, it is a cyclical process that drives continuous improvement once established

Review
Learn the current status at all levels, be it a company, product, or user Investigating all aspects of the area in question to identify the critical areas and areas of concern

Refresh
Conceive and implement short-term solutions to Refresh the offer providing quick results to optimize short-term gains and utilize all current resources as much as possible

Renew
Take everything learned in the first two stages and formulate long-term solutions to grow This stage flows into a repeat of the cycle to allow constant improvement and should set up a methodology for constant improvement and a desire to strive for the best solutions possible

5 Step Development System

My 5 Step Development System is on the surface quite standard, but it is my blending of the responsibilities and engagement at earlier stages with later exits than traditionally are accepted from my years of experience that in my opinion make the difference

Development Responsibility & Influence Diagram
Each step within the framework flows into the next with responsibility transitioning to each new department from Conception through to Production with no sudden handoff, with extensive collaboration and teamwork to ensure understanding and success, and while this shows the responsibility and involvement at a high level, all parties should have knowledge and understanding of the project throughout the entire lifecycle
ID
Industrial Design covers the market analysis to identify the user needs and concept design for possible solutions
Outputs are reports, sketches, and surface 3D files, sometimes with mock-ups and initial prototypes

R&D
R&D examines new materials, processes, and machinery to achieve the concepts suggested by ID while also proposing new solutions to the ID areas and self-started products itself
Outputs are ideas, designs, materials, processes, machines, and prototypes

PD
Product Development examines how to optimize concepts to make them realistic to produce while ensuring design intent is maintained Outputs are developed designs, functional samples, tooling solutions, and technical plans

NPI
New Product Introduction prepares the developed design into an optimized for manufacture product, with the tooling, materials, processing, and product structure finalized
Outputs are signoff samples, final technical documents, MP line setup, and test builds

MP
Mass Production team takes over as the test builds grow in quantity and bring the product into full sustained Production, at this stage the product can be considered finalized but continuous improvement efforts are made to optimize
Outputs are the finished product"
