The Design Stage includes formalizing the Aim and Specification for the Product through Brainstorming and Justification exercises with the findings from the Research and progresses into Ideation and Concept Development, this can go through multiple rounds to narrow down options into a clear route(s) of desirable solutions to the problem
After the Concept Stage, the design enters Design Development and is moved into 3D software with dimensions and interaction points addressed based on the target users' characteristics
This is turned into mock-ups, models, and prototypes until the concept is believed to be solid
Additionally desired materials should be selected and if possible existing components incorporated
